Announcing PowerTeacher 2.3!

PowerTeacher 2.3 provides many new features, based on feedback from hundreds of teachers and district staff. This release builds on the features provided in PowerTeacher 2.1 and 2.2. Your feedback has been invaluable to Pearson, and helps each new release meet and exceed the expectations of our teachers across the nation.

2.3 key features include:

• Student name display preferences
• Student sorting preferences throughout the gradebook
• Student preferred name display
• Extra customizable class columns to track additional student information
• Teacher personal note per student
• Notifications area: Added Students, Dropped Students, Birthdays, and Admin Login events
• Teacher email to parents/guardians and students – Phase I
• Teacher personal comment bank
• Multi–Section report option to show dropped classes
• Standards: Automatically calculate higher level standards
• Standards: Use assignment scores to auto-populate standards scores
• And more!

PowerTeacher enables true standards–based grading, and is endorsed by grading expert Ken O’Connor.

Online Training

Online training is now available for PowerTeacher Gradebook users through PowerSource, the new Pearson customer portal. Please contact your system administrator for PowerSource login information for teachers.

PowerTeacher Administrator

PowerTeacher Administrator is an application for distributing content to teachers, and managing other gradebook features. This version provides some core features, and is a foundation for future functionality.
